Recent Major Project Experiences
Domestics
1. National Land and Resources Survey Project
The Ministry of Land and Resources issued the programs of national land and resources survey in 2007, providing more than 1.12 billion RMB for 641 programs which cover such fields as basic survey, land monitoring and surveying, mineral resources investigation and evaluation, geologic hazards monitoring and early-warning. EDC was awarded a contract to provide the full chain geospatial services from data collection and processing to application in some areas.
2. West-East Natural Gas Transmission Pipeline Project
In August 2007, China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) announced the route of China's second West-East natural gas pipeline for importing gas from Central Asia to the Pearl River and Yangtze River delta areas. The main line measures 4,859 kilometers long, and the total length, including branch lines, exceeds 7,000 kilometers. EDC has played its role in providing the raw satellite imagery collection and processing in certain stages of the project.
3. Natural Geologic Disaster Prevention Program
EDC cooperated with China Institute of Geo-Environmental Monitoring to conduct some research and evaluation projects over several years in the field of natural geologic disaster prevention and monitoring, such as landslide, earthquake etc. Such experiences have greatly enriched the related knowledge and skills for dealing with geologic projects, finally giving EDC a competitive advantage in this industry.
